CFMOTO MT450 – We Can Work on Your Suspension

The CFMOTO MT450 has been getting a lot of attention lately, and for good reason. It’s a relatively light adventure bike with a 449.5cc twin-cylinder engine, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels and 200mm of suspension travel at both ends.

But what really caught our attention this year was seeing the MT450 being put through its paces at Red Bull Romaniacs.

CFMOTO entered the Adventure classes with the 450MT, with Mario Román taking the Adventure Ultimate class win. CFMOTO also took wins in all three Adventure classes. That’s a pretty good way of showing what the bike can do when it’s taken off-road and ridden hard.

What about the suspension?

The MT450 comes fitted with KYB suspension, with 41mm USD forks at the front and a KYB rear shock. Both ends are adjustable, giving riders some scope to change the setup depending on how and where they ride.

As with any bike, though, the standard setup has to work for a wide range of riders. Your weight, riding style, luggage and the type of terrain you ride can all make a difference to how the suspension feels.
