48mm KYB SSS front fork kit takes the Tenere 700 to another level!
CNC machined triple clamps INCLUDED IN THE SET , complete new designed axle clamps allows installing without any hassle, OEM brake calipers as well as the OEM fork protectors, brake hoses, axle, ABS sensor and last but not least the front wheel.
The KYB 48MM KIT SSS with air-oil separated twin chamber closed cartridge design is well known in the Yamaha MX-world.
The precise damping set-up, customized to your needs , perfected on the toughest tracks.
With all anodized internal parts for minimal friction chrome tubes in our standard configuration
Rally fork length 955mm/stroke 276mm (height +25mm, wheel travel +66mm) also available with 251mm stroke (travel +41, standard height can be used with standard length shock )
this was archived by designing custom lugs and triple clamp that allow us to maximize the travel and it will only work with the triple clamp provided in the set.
The front fork also comes with protective stickers for the outer tube
Notes for the set-up of the fork (spring rate and damping):
springs 5.0, 5.4, 6.0 6.5 N final spring rate and progression will be achieved with different oil level 270-410cc based on the rider specification
Triple clamp offset as OEM build in steam lock and integrated steering damper mount (steering damper not included can be ordered separately)
48mm conversion is not just about the extra travel!
However, the OEM T7 43mm fork bottoms out at about 2000N, fully compressed to 210mm.
Our 48mm conversion has 276mm of travel with a 6N spring, and the recommended oil level bottoms out at 3200N.
That’s 50% more available force than you had before.
1. Different chase response, different stiffness of the tubes, and a lot less bending on the impact.
2. Reduced unsprung mass of the system, inverted system piston rod vs cartridge tubes
3. Options for secondary HS dapping circuits. We offer a large selection of spring perches from enduro with open ports to more restrictive options like TPS preload tubes that offer big progression and bottom out resistance only on the big impact, and are not noticeable during normal riding. This is not available in normal cartridge conversion.
4. Easily change spring progression by changing the oil level in the outer tubes from a linear feel with a low oil level to a big progression that starts mid stroke. 270-390ml of oil can be used.
5. Very strong hydro stops 30mm from the bottom of the travel that can be tuned or partly disabled if needed.
6. A symmetrical system where two 24mm pistons create rebound and compression damping can be tuned to any specification and give the suspension technician endless tuning options. The closed cartridge system offers very plush initial movement and a lot of damping progression that can be controlled with different shim stack options. The KYB CC cartridge is also a self-charging system and can recover damping force if blown during the race.
